FCR Historical Index — 1872 Edition

The FCR Historical Index provides independent ratings of football clubs based on long-term competitive legacy. The 1872 edition presents the complete top ratings for men's football.

The highest-rated men's clubs include Wanderers Football Club, Royal Engineers Association Football Club, and Crystal Palace Football Club.

Ratings are calculated using the proprietary LunaRodas Algorithm, which analyzes historical tournament results, league positions, and competitive achievements. The index incorporates verified data from 1872 (men's) and 1969 (women's) through present day, with quarterly updates as new historical records are validated.
